Michelle's girls were born at 32weeks and 34 weeks of her pregnancy.

Every year there are around 21,000 premature births in Australia alone.  Michelle is a mother of babies born at 32 and 34 weeks.  In this Birthing Sense interview she talks about the delayed first cuddle when her babies were whisked away for oxygen, and her relationship with the staff in the neonatal nursery.

 DVD 3 of the Birthing Sense Birth Education Series includes an interview with a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse/Specialist who explains more about tubes for feeding, their need for oxygen and the needs of a premature baby as they grow.  Loddon Mallee Kids is an organization that endorses Birthing Sense, and provides a network for supporting families and friends of premature babies.  You can also find a local support group through the National Premmie Foundation.
