Kay Mattingley
Genetic Counsellor
Kay Mattingley
is a Genetic Counsellor who was a Teacher
and Medical Scientist prior to joining the
genetic counselling profession almost 10
years ago.
Kay discusses
some of the issues surrounding prenatal
testing and points to consider if you are
ever looking at testing your pregnancy for
genetic conditions in DVD 1 of the Birthing
Sense Pre-natal Class.
Kay has tertiary qualifications
in teaching, human movements, medical
science and genetic counselling and has been
fully qualified as a Genetic Counsellor for
over 6 years. She has worked as a Genetic
Counsellor in two major Sydney hospitals
where prenatal genetic issues are a very
large component of the Genetic Unit’s
workload.
